Wind and Wuthering was released on 27th December 1976.

The official Genesis website confirms this:
http://www.genesis-music.com/discog/?v=a&a=4&id=9

All of the original UK releases show 1976 on the Charisma label.

Well you'll just have to, cos I can certainly remember it being
released on the on 1st Jan '77, the same day as the W+W tour started.
"The Movement" site had it listed as that being the release date as
well. Don't you remember...or were you an "Invisible Touch" convert?
As for the official web site having it listed as 27th Dec '76...well
even they can be wrong.

Armando Gallo's book also lists it as released December 1976.

AllMusic.com also lists it as December 27th 1976.

All in all, it seems very unlikely that the album was released on 1st Jan
1977.

Besides all the evidence, it seems very unlikely that ANY album was release
on New Year's Day anyway!

So, I'm with you, Mark.

I wonder who actually wrote the reviews? Some of them are downright
hilarious! I've never heard Robbery, Assault & Battery described as a
"pedal-driven rocker" before... :-)

Amazing! He must have the only copy of A Trick of the Tail where Robbery
Assault & Battery has bass pedals on it...

Indeed...

And it was Trespass, not Nursery Cryme, which was No 1 in Belgium:

Apparently Hugh Banton plays a Moog on Pawn Hearts too... :-)

Dozens... You'd do well to have the entire text properly proofed, e.g. "he
allowed each group to evolved into their own particular and peculiar
styles.", "nursery Cryme", "Selling england By The Pound", "voyage of The
acolyte", "The yes Album", etc...

But, as this is a Genesis newsgroup, you could start by moving Wind and
Wuthering to December 1976, as has been previously mentioned...
http://www.genesis-music.com/discog/?v=a&a=4&id=9

Also, the phrase "twelve string guitars" means twelve guitars made of
string - if you mean 12-string guitars, then say 12-string guitars...

You seem to have a bit of a thing about referring to all synthesisers as
Moogs... Tony doesn't play Moog anywhere on The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway -
that's an ARP ProSoloist... Tony didn't get his first Moog until a couple of
years later...

The Lamb tour started in 1974...

Etc...

And, while we're at it...

What was the name of the album which The Beatles released in June 1967...?

'Procol harum' is nothing to do with Latin (it's not even grammatically
correct Latin anyway) - it was the pedigree name of the band's manager's
friend's cat:

Cool Page!
Will you add also current ProgBands like Dream Theater, Sylvan, Sieges
Even, Porcupine Tree etc.?
Would be cool since they are producing a lot of good music.

Thanks for the work!
